A Flower on the Starbucks Wall

So that the Playlist Diary doesn't get too lonely, here is a bit of original poetry. I wrote this little piece while seated at a local Starbucks, eavesdropping on the conversations happening around me. All of the snippets are taken from these conversations. Enjoy!

P.S. Check out my friend's blog... Cynosure .

'Starbucks'

Routine,
another nickel in the machine.
A wedding and a latte,
just one more for my baby.
“You can heat there (on the stove)”,
the coordinator rattles,
“…decorations…church…taking it down.”
Good afternoon!
grande mocha, (kiss me),
the planner sells insurance.
We can’t guarantee security,
so don’t bring your dress to rehearsal…
Tall mocha Frappachino, sound check,
(accidents can happen when two hearts collide).
The little Asian man is angry at his computer,
“Supply your own candles…”
The jazz brings everything together.
